CBS Los Angeles has reported that a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian has turned into a shooting investigation.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was called in for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Hooper Avenue and Slauson Avenue. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also arrived on the scene.
They found three gunshot victims there. One was treated at the scene and the others were sent to local hospitals. One of them, an adult male, died at the hospital.
They also found three wrecked vehicles, but the authorities did not state to the media whether any injuries were caused by the vehicle collisions. They also didn’t state if the pedestrian was one of the people shot. The investigation is still ongoing.
However, they said that the shooting started after an argument inside of a dispensary. Two men are suspected to have caused the argument.
This may be classified as a road rage incident. Road rage is anger provoked by another motorists’s act, and then acting on that to drive aggressively or violently. Or, in some cases, to do even worse things like pull out a gun and start shooting.
Our condolences go out to the family of the slain victim and we hope that the other people recover from their wounds.
