CHP officers arrived on the scene where a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro had been traveling southbound on the Oakdale-Waterford Highway when for an unknown reason the driver allowed the vehicle to drift into the northbound traffic lanes of the highway. The Camaro struck a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta sedan head-on.

Luis Alberto Amezcus, 29, of Snelling, was driving his vehicle northbound when Flores crashed into his vehicle. The impact caused the Jetta to roll onto its passenger side along the east shoulder of the highway. Flores’ Camaro remained upright but was blocking both the north and southbound lanes of the highway.

A third vehicle became involved when Luis Miguel Seguraaredondo, 33, of Kerman was driving his Hyundai along the highway. Not seeing the Camaro crashed into the passenger side of the disabled vehicle. Seguraaredondo and his passenger, Javier Napoles, 59, of Fresno were taken to an area hospital for treatment; one of the men in the Hyundai was listed with critical condition while the others had non-life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the three people killed in the crash have been withheld pending notification of family.
