Each car accident is a wildcard of injuries. You never know exactly how much it will hurt and how long it will take to recover. Tiger Woods is finding this out first hand according to Metro.us.
This past February, Woods lost control of his vehicle while driving over the speed limit near Los Angeles. His car crossed into oncoming lanes before striking into some trees. After spending three weeks in the hospital, he has been in his South Florida home doing physical therapy for his injuries.
This is not the first time that Woods has experienced injury. He has undergone back and knee surgeries before, but he describes the rehab from his crash as, “more painful than anything I have ever experienced.”
Despite being months after his accident, he still hasn’t reached a point where he can walk on his own, much less play golf. “I do my routines every day and am focused on my No. 1 goal right now: walking on my own. Taking it one step at a time,” he said.
We wish Woods’ recovery continues well, and we also hope that he’s learned just how bad speeding can injure you. All it takes is one momentary loss of control and you can end up injured for months, or for the rest of your life.
