Family members say that Bolotsky had the routine of walking his dog at the same time every day. His granddaughter, Adriana Bolotsky, described her grandfather as being “silly and vivacious.”
Bolotsky was a survivor of the Holocaust. As a boy, he managed to escape the Nazi occupation by going through Communist Russia. The family said that he later came to the U.S. in search of freedom and became a citizen.
