A fatal collision in Fullerton has left one person dead, and another person injured early Monday.
The Orange County Register reported that the fatal crash happened at approximately 9:51 a.m. A man driving a stolen Toyota Highlander crashed into a Honda sedan near Charlie’s Best Burgers restaurant, located at the intersection of Valencia Dr. and Euclid Street in Fullerton. Emergency crews found the mangled maroon Honda sedan up the sidewalk and against the restaurant sign while what was left of the Toyota was still in the intersection.
Fullerton police Lt. Jon Radus said in a statement that Fullerton Police officers who responded to the crash scene found after initial investigations were conducted showed the Toyota was traveling at a high rate of speed before it broadsided the Honda sedan. The Highlander was reported stolen earlier in Long Beach.
Lt. Radus said in a statement that the passenger in the Honda died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Honda suffered significant injuries but was not considered life-threatening. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
No further information has been released about the victim in the crash pending notification of family.

The driver of the Toyota has been identified by Fullerton Police investigators as Randy Lamar Wilkins, 39, of Long Beach. Watkins did not suffer any injuries in the crash. Police arrested him on the charges of driving a stolen vehicle, suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and several additional related felony charges.
