Sometimes circumstances happen that confuse what looks like a straightforward case. Take this case that was recently reported by KTLA.
Authorities came out to the scene of a car crash that hit a building on the 3500 block of Valencia Drive. It was a short distance away from Valencia Park Elementary School. While they were on the scene, they received reports that shots were heard in the area around the time of the crash.
They found two victims in the car that hit the building. One was shot dead, and the other was in critical condition. Police aren’t sure if the shooting caused the critical injuries or the crash.
News helicopters did discover that police had arrested one person behind the police cordon, but were unable to confirm if the arrested man was a suspect in this case. No further details available.

One fact that will need investigation is the timeline of the shooting. A shot driver could easily crash into a building by slumping over the wheel and not letting the accelerator go. Another question not answered by the article is whether it was the driver or the passenger that received the fatal wound.
We wish to extend our condolences to the victim’s families and hope the police and the legal system can help them achieve justice.
