You would think that the fear of losing their job, not to mention possible jail time, would keep commercial drivers from committing hit-and-run. Nevertheless. that’s what happened in an accident that happened in Fresno. Your Central Valley reported on the crash.
Around 3:30 AM, a pickup truck crashed into an 18-wheeler and flipped onto its side. The crash happened near Orange Avenue and Central Avenue. The driver of the truck had to be freed from the vehicle by fire crews.
The driver of the semi left the scene before officials arrived. Police have stated that if they find the driver he will be arrested for hit-and-run charges.
Fire crews also had to deal with a possible pesticide spill. The truck was carrying a tank of it. Fortunately, the canister didn’t break.
The condition of the pickup truck driver is unknown at this time.
