A spokesperson for the CHP said that investigators are still uncertain at what speed the vehicles were traveling but noted that there were no skid marks on the pavement Investigators are still trying to determine if there may have been a brake failure on the box truck just before the crash. The authorities are interviewing the driver of the box truck to get his version of what may have happened.
The accident is still currently under investigation, and the CHP is hoping that someone who was in the area of the accident and saw what happened may also be able to provide additional details to investigators.
