US News and World Report recently reported on their website that an employee with the Anaheim Police Department was critically injured when a pickup truck rear-ended the marked vehicle she was in.
She was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was listed in critical condition. No further information has been released about her identity or current condition.
In a statement released by the Anaheim Police Department, Sgt. Daron Wyatt said that on Saturday, March 9th, the female traffic control assistant had been performing traffic duty near the Servite High School when her vehicle was struck from behind. The force of the impact caused her to be ejected from her vehicle and onto the pavement.

Jose Alfredo Alcantar Garcia, 34, of Placentia, was placed under arrest by Anaheim Police officers on suspicion of being under the influence of narcotics while driving, resulting in bodily harm. Police say that Garcia was also arrested after having left the scene of an earlier accident with other related charges.
